A website can only tell you so much.

Walking through a factory or showroom tells you much more.

I’m looking at:

• Product consistency

• Showroom quality

• Organization

• Professionalism

• Overall capability

These small details often reveal how a supplier operates.

One mistake I see buyers make is choosing the first supplier they find.

Instead, I compare multiple manufacturers.

Sometimes the first quotation is the best.

Sometimes it isn’t.

More importantly, every supplier has different strengths.

One may offer better customization.

Another may have shorter lead times.

Another may specialize in luxury projects.

The goal isn’t to find the cheapest supplier.

The goal is to find the right supplier.

Communication becomes incredibly important once production starts.

I ask myself:

• Do they answer questions clearly?

• Do they understand project requirements?

• Are they transparent about lead times?

• Do they communicate professionally?

Poor communication usually becomes a bigger problem than price.

This surprises many people.

The cheapest quotation often becomes the most expensive project.

Why?

Because delays, inconsistent quality, poor packaging, and product issues can quickly outweigh any initial savings.

That’s why I focus on total project value—not just the lowest number on a quotation.
